Creating a lead form in Meta is a simple way to gather information from your audience without them needing to leave the platform. For instance, you don't need to drive your audience to your page external page to collect lead info. Instead, you can use Instant Forms directly on Facebook and Instagram.

Here we provide a step-by-step guide on how to do this.

Step 1 - Go to the Ads Manager and click Create Ad:

Then select Leads from the pop-up modal:

Click Continue.

Step 2 - Choose one of the offered options to create the campaign from scratch or with best practices (recommended settings). Fill in your campaign name, choose whether or not you want to set a spending limit, and set your preferred buying type. Once finished, click the Next button.

Step 3 - On Ad Set Level, for Conversion Location, select Instant Forms.

In this section, you can also set a budget, campaign schedule, performance goal, etc. In the ad set section, define your audience (custom or lookalike audiences), budget, and schedule for when you want the ads to run. You can also specify where you want your ads to appear (e.g., Facebook News Feed, Instagram Feed). Once you set everything, click the Next button.

Note: If this is your first time setting up a lead ad for your page, you will need to accept Meta's Terms of Service.

Step 4 - Here you will find yourself on the Ad Level.

Scroll down and click Create Form:

You’ll then be able to:

  • Give your form a name for the organization.

  • Choose the form type (More Volume or Higher Intent).

  • Customize the form fields based on the information you want to collect (name, email, phone number).

  • Add a privacy policy link, as this is required by Meta.

  • Thank You Screen: After submitting the form, the user will be shown a customizable thank-you message.

This is the place where you give your ad a name, creatives, headline, and primary text. Click next when you are done. You may be prompted to insert/update your payment method as Instant Forms cannot be published without:

  • Accepted Terms of Service

  • Valid payment method

Finally, click the Publish button! You can now use this form to launch Lead Form campaigns from AdCopy:
